New Upgrade Notice: (11/29/2004) If
you are upgrading WiredContact X3 from a version prior to 2004.03.01,
the upgrade may change your Letters tab. The new version uses a new way to
display letter and email templates. You can now copy templates into a folder, and
the new templates will automatically show up on the Letters and Emails tabs.
(see the Readme.txt files in the EmailTemplates and LetterTemplates folders) If you
have not changed your navbar.html since you installed wiredcontact, this new version
will overwrite your existing navbar.html, which shows the new tabs. You can
show the old Letters tab by uncommenting the appropriate lines in the navbar.html.

Upgrade Instructions
Please be sure to backup your customizations
before running the installation. Before the install,
log off all of the WiredContact ACT! users via the WiredContact
Configuration program. Then Stop the World Wide Web
publishing service and the new WiredContact Service
Application if you have previously started it. Then
run the WiredContact installation, and when the install
dialog asks, you should select the Repair option. The
Repair option should preserve all customizations.
Please note:
WiredContact now maintains an open connection to the
ACT! database. If you need to log the WiredContact users
off of your ACT! database (to perform ACT! maintenance
or upgrade your software), you will need to go to the
WiredContact Configuration program and click on the
Manage ACT! Logins menu and click on Release ACT! Logins.
