Security Alert - July 20, 2001
We were recently made aware of an issue with IIS for
Windows NT and 2000. The "Code Red" Internet worm, discovered
on July 17, 2001, is currently propagating quickly among
Microsoft IIS Web servers. The worm takes advantage
of a known vulnerability in these systems to spread
to other servers, with the goal of launching a denial
of service attack against the White House Web site.
Please
visit Microsoft's security site where there is an announcement
of the security issue and a
patch to download, which protects you against a
compromised site. Because our software uses Microsoft's
Internet Information Services, we will make you aware
of any issues that may affect your use of WiredContact.
